A crushed berry brightness, this variety packs a punch. Lovely to have in the garden and vase, it will flower for an age and has lovely movement in the stems, a stem of this alone in a bud vase has the power to look abundant yet elegant.

Although a hardy annual, it dislikes being too cold and damp, so wait until spring and sow under cover. It grows quickly, so pot on if necessary and plant out after the last frost. Can also be direct sown when the weather and soil have warmed. Malope seeds can benefit from cold stratification to break dormancy, so pop in an airtight container and place them in the freezer for a week or two before sowing.
